Modern Slavery Statement

Connect Provider is committed to upholding the highest ethical standards and promoting human rights in all aspects of our operations and supply chains. We recognise the significant risks posed by modern slavery and human trafficking and are dedicated to preventing these abuses within our sphere of influence.

As a leading care provider, we understand the importance of ensuring the well-being and dignity of all individuals, both within our organisation and throughout our supply chains. We believe that everyone has the right to work in safe and fair conditions, free from exploitation and coercion.

To uphold these principles, Connect Provider has implemented robust policies, procedures, and practices designed to prevent modern slavery and human trafficking.

These include:

  1. Supplier Code of Conduct: We have established a Supplier Code of Conduct that sets out our expectations for suppliers and business partners regarding human rights, labour practices, and ethical standards. This code prohibits the use of forced labour, child labour, and any form of human trafficking.
  1. Supplier Due Diligence: We conduct thorough due diligence on our suppliers and business partners to assess their compliance with our Supplier Code of Conduct and identify any potential risks related to modern slavery. This includes evaluating supply chain transparency, labour practices, and adherence to applicable laws and regulations.
  1. Employee Training and Awareness: We provide comprehensive training and awareness programs to our employees to educate them about the risks of modern slavery, common indicators, and reporting procedures. Our goal is to empower employees to recognise and report any concerns related to modern slavery promptly.
  1. Whistle-blower Protection: Connect Provider is committed to fostering a culture of transparency and accountability. We prohibit retaliation against employees or stakeholders who report concerns or suspicions of modern slavery in good faith. Reports are treated confidentially, and appropriate action is taken to address any alleged violations.
  1. Continuous Improvement: We recognise that combating modern slavery is an ongoing effort that requires constant vigilance and adaptation. Connect Provider is committed to continuously reviewing and improving our policies, practices, and procedures to effectively mitigate modern slavery risks and uphold our commitment to ethical conduct and human rights.
  1. Collaboration and Engagement: We actively collaborate with industry peers, government agencies and other stakeholders to share best practices, advocate for stronger regulations, and address systemic issues contributing to modern slavery. By working together, we can have a greater impact in combating this global challenge.

In our commitment to combatting modern slavery, Connect Provider monitors various key performance indicators to gauge the effectiveness of our initiatives. One crucial metric is the Percentage of Suppliers Compliant with the Supplier Code of Conduct, with a targeted achievement of 100%, This metric reflects our dedication to ensuring that all suppliers and business partners align with our stringent standards regarding human rights and ethical practices.

Additionally, we closely track the Number of Employee Reports on Modern Slavery Concerns, aiming for zero reports indicative of a seamlessly operating, ethically sound organisation. Our target remains at zero

Furthermore, a vital indicator of our commitment to collaborative efforts is the Number of Collaborative Initiatives. These efforts involve working closely with industry peers, government agencies, and stakeholders to share best practices, advocate for stronger regulations, and collectively address systemic issues contributing to modern slavery.

Additionally, we measure the Supplier Due Diligence Effectiveness by assessing the thoroughness of our due diligence processes on suppliers and business partners. This includes evaluating their compliance with our Supplier Code of Conduct, supply chain transparency, and adherence to applicable laws and regulations. The target for this indicator is consistently set at 100%.

This statement is made pursuant to section 54(1) of the Modern Slavery Act 2015 and constitutes Connect Provider’s modern slavery statement for the financial year ending 2022. The board of Connect Provider as listed in Annex 1
